About Keith

As the owner/manager of Diverse Landscapes, I am also an active member of staff as I have a real passion for landscaping and the people whom I work with. Landscaping has been a part of my life from an early age.

I had the great privilege of growing up in the foothills of the Natal Drakensberg, living on a working farm.  An understanding and a love for the outdoors was the ideal background to a career in landscaping.

After matriculating from Estcourt High School in 1988, I went on to Durban Technikon to complete a National Diploma in Landscape design.  During my time at Technikon, I took the opportunity to work in several positions, including local municipalities, nurseries and private gardens.  Then I spent the next 7 years working for a private landscaping business, Robyndale Landscapes.  I was mentored and encouraged in a way which has taught me so much.  I too have learned the responsibility and joy that comes from being able to encourage and assist new business owners, and young men and women graduating from college.

The instinctive desire to be self employed, finally led to the decision to start Diverse Landscapes, which we kicked off in December 1998.

I believe that with the humble beginnings of a farm life, having the gift of speaking Zulu, and being blessed by the many strong relationships that have shaped the past 40 years, my background and experiences has been key to the success of our business.
